Lorri Lagerbloom (b.1981) is a mixed media artist living in Big Sky, Montana. Describing herself as a sculptor who builds paintings, her reliefs are created using varied techniques and materials. She gained a formal art education from the State University of New York at New Paltz, in both printmaking and sculpture. She has continued to experiment in depth with paper media, encaustic beeswax, and fabric. Simplicity and the purity of the unrefined are essential to her work. Having a life long adoration for the natural world, her work portrays the abundant flora and fauna of the great Treasure State. Lorri has exhibited work throughout Montana and New York. She is currently represented by Gallatin River Gallery in Big Sky, Montana.
